This is one of the assignments for an online comics course I took in March 2021. It required selecting a classic movie clip and converting the movie’s subplot into a one-page comic story. I chose the opening scene of Wong Kar Wai’s The Grandmaster, integrated it with the fight scene in the movie: Godzilla vs Kong, and replaced the main characters with rabbits. The fun-filled creative process was unforgettable. It was an interesting shift from the fixed movie screen size to a grid of varying sizes. For the first time, I felt that drawing comics was as enjoyable as reading them as a child.
