Love Scale Chart (2021)
Since rabbits are timid and do not communicate through sounds, their feelings and emotions are often ignored. Additionally, when compared with dogs and cats, rabbits are viewed as stupid and unloving. However, my experience of adopting rabbits refutes this belief. Just like the most loved domesticated animals: cats and dogs, rabbits are also affectionate but in their own ways. To illustrate, I drew a summary of the 12-step process rabbits became comfortable with humans. It shows that when they feel safe and start to trust humans, they gradually lower their guard down. From being subtle, they become openly affectionate. Rabbits are prey to many animals; they possibly see us as one of their predators at first, but they will work hard to learn, adapt, and establish connection to human families. If I were to define this transformation, it would be love.
